Ghostbusters DVD - Reissued/Repackaged (Widescreen)

Postby Spengs » January 20th, 2006, 4:48 pm

It had been a while since I've checked out the GBHQ message board. Note: If you're the original poster and want credit, please contact me. I didn't have time to post about this, this morning.

I came across a thread for a new GB DVD. Don't get too excited, its suppose to be a re-issue of the DVD giftset we got last August. Except with a classic cover, the theater poster. :x Now kinda knowing how SONY treats the movie franchise, (I don't mean the props/vehicles in this case) it doesn't really surprise me.

I don't know all the details, I presume its only region 1 for now. Will probably retail between $12.99-14.99 USD. Considering how fast the giftset seemed to come down in price, personally I'd hold off in getting it. Actually I don't know if I will get it. I guess I'll have to see it in person. Like myself, how many copies of the films do we have? Or need to own. :?

Circuit City has a pic of the cover and the standard information. I read this morning it wasn't listed on Amazon.com. I haven't checked yet. Best Buy seems to have a page set up for it. No pic of the cover.

The release date is 3/16/06.

Feh....I'm saving my hard-earned dollar for the RGB sets. Especially since I was reminded that Batman: TAS was released like that too before WB finally made SEASON SETS of it!

The only way I'd consider buying another GB movie MIGHT be if they released one with the deleted scenes from GBII...MAYBE.

Agreed. By then they S.H.P.E may as well release Ghostbusters II separately again, except of course this time with extras that actually have to do with Ghostbusters II.
