Going On Vacation

Postby Spengs » May 3rd, 2006, 7:40 pm

If you read the Events area since sometime last month, you already know your Director Of Ghostbusting Operations is going on a much needed vacation. I'll be leaving tomorrow morning from the tri-state area and flying down to the beautiful Carolinas. I'll be returning to the NY area early next week. However, their may not be many updates until later in the week because of post vacation appointments.

I'm sorry if you wrote me before today and I haven't been able to respond recently. If anyone writes me this weekend or next week, I'll get back to you at my earliest convenience.

Just a reminder in case anyone forgot or is interested. This Saturday, May 6th is Free Comic Book Day. Details of our franchise(s) involvment can be found in our Events area.

Have a great weekend everybody and don't call me unless the security of many protection grids has been compromised.

Not sure how many cared (well maybe not cared, just didn't post) and it might not have felt like I was away since I was able to update the site while I was on vacation. Unfortunately in some ways I'm back from the Carolinas and my vacation is over.

Once I settle back in, site news and updates will be posted.

Instead of starting a new topic, I figured I would just post in the old one again.

A lot has been going on personally, not all bad. And I was hoping to get to some more site updates and news before tomorrow. It didn't quite work out that way.

Tomorrow Rachel (my girlfriend) will be in town until next week. Unlike my usual every blue moon when I get to take a vacation or short personal leave, its very unlikely the site will be updated until next week. Rest assured an update in the making has been going on since early October. :)

I apologize for any unanswered emails or PMs, (old or recent) I haven't forgotten about any of them. Just been pretty busy. And it is October so busier then usual. :P

Have a good week/weekend everyone. See/write/talk to you ladies and gentleman when I'm plugged in again.

This vacation is over, unfortunately. Some of you may have noticed I was on here yesterday. I took care of the registered spambots and I've been preparing some updates for the site. At least news for now and actual updates to come.

Every time Richard goes on vacation it gets hectic around here. Louis gets nervous and Peter complains about having more to do than just sit at his desk. It is fascinating to watch, actually.

Dr. Spengler, I usually get nervous during the busy season anyway. I also over worry about little things that I know Rich has under control. ex: spam bots.

I definitely agree with the necessity of eliminating Spambots. I have to roast an average or three or four of the little suckers every day on GBHQ.

But Spambot terrorism will not be tolerated.
