GBNJ and the Leeds' curse

Postby GBNJ-Bill » November 11th, 2005, 3:11 pm

Hey all! As most will remember from the previous board or if you've seen the thread on GBHQ's message board, the Ghostbusters-NJ film is in production. The film tentatively titled "Ghostbusters-New Jersey and the Leeds' Curse" is slated for a christmas 2005 release. I Will post a timeline of the production for all those keeping score at home.

Sept 24, 2005- principal photography. we shot 90% of the movie on this beautiful early fall day. Too bad only 60% of that was usuable because someone forgot to turn on the boom mic.

Oct 6, 2005- A rough cut of the movie's usuable scenes, and a sfx test. We can actually say we have the tools and the talent. (for editing, I may be Bill, but I'm no Murray)

Oct 14, 2005- First draft of the original GBNJ score.

Nov 13, 2005- Reshoots

***UPDATE***

Nov 20, 2005- pick ups, and more reshoots

Nov 22, 2005- Rough cut. Majority of the scenes shot were edited in a very rough version. looks good. we just have 2 more scenes and a monor reshoot. everything is looking mighty good.

Nov 27, 2005- last day of filming (hopefully?)

more to come!

Hey guys!

Check this link.

Its a proton beam's tutorial for photoshop. It was created by Kingpin and is hosted by me, in my GB website.

Hope it could help! Anyway, let me know if you need any help!

This just in! The final edit of the movie has been recieved. It is tight. We'll be sending it of to the audio guy so he can add the rest of the original score, and the sfx guy. our intention is for it to be finished by Chiller on the weekend of jan 27th. we intend on presenting a copy to Ernie Hudson, and handing out free copies to our fans.

All in good time. Hopefully by the month's end the film will be avalible for download from gbnj.com, and possibly taking orders* for a SPECIAL EDITION with all the goodies you come to expect from the dvd community.

If there is a charge it would just be for postage.

I'd certainly pay to own a physical DVD of it. Especially since I've got dial-up :? ...unless the movie's all of one minute long, a DL wouldn't be the practical way to go for me! ;)

Those screencaps remind me of stills from a press pack or something like a real movie. Oh yeah, we did make a real movie! :P Print those bad boys out, we'll autograph them. You know we're big stars. 8)

Don't you love how the flightsuit uh, er holds in all that extra muscle? Check out those tight 1 abs.

Due to unfortunate circumstances parts of my footage had to be cut out. Maybe it can be added to the SE. Our fans can mouth there own dialogue. Or I could do commentary. Ooh. Bill, have your people call my people.

All: As far as putting it on-line, Bill and I talked about this more tonight. More server space is being bought (how dedicated are we?) and depending on the file size (won't know until this weekend at the earliest) I may mirror our film through the GBI site.

If I had a Superdrive (I knew I was going to regret that some day) I'd make some copies too. If we have plans for a SE, it should be worth the extra wait time. Bill has a connection with the postal service, mailing a physical copy when the time comes shouldn't be any problem. ;) *thumbs up*

I don't know how much space we'll need, but I can't imagine the files will be huge. Dave is planning on making a couple of different versions that are different sizes, so we'll see once he gets those done.

The special edition is not going to be ready for a while, we'll be giving out copies of the "Regular" edition at Chiller to anyone that wants one (while supplies last, of course). No time frame yet on when Dave can edit together the special features.

As for you making copies, Dave has an automated DVD replicator with built in printer, so no worries there.
