GENCON (MYTH) BUSTED

By clicking on the pictures, you can see them in all their hi resolution glory!
On Saturday August 12th I had the pleasure of attending Gen Con Indy at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, ID. Once there I was able to meet up with serval other Ghostbusters from all over the country from Indian, to Texas, and even Pheonix.
We cruised the convention center not only keeping an eye out for the errant spirit, but also to stop and greet and take pictures with potential recruits. I handed out several Ghostbusters International business cards and hopefully some of you are reading this because of that.
“Call it fate call it luck, call it karma…I believe everything happens for a reason” as our own Dr. Venkman stated in our hit movie. Well as an example of fate some of the key media guests of honor were the build team from the Discovery Channel hit show Mythbusters, Tory Belleci, Kari Byron, and Grant Imahara.
I met up with the mythbusters early on in the day and was not disappointed. They are just as awesome in person as they are on TV. Their reaction to the suit was equally awesome. Grant had his helper take a picture of me with his camera when we took this picture. Then he went on to share his own desire to one day build and own a proton pack. He also described a time when they were going through one of Adam Savage’s drawers at the shop they found plans for a ghost trap. Did Adam get these from the maker? Or is he a gbprops.com downloader? The world may never know. (Unless he wants to post the answer which would be quite welcome!)

Of course what would the Mythbusters be without the beautiful Kari Byron, shown here sporting my ectogoggles.

A group pic hoisting up one of my spare ghost traps. Don’t worry it was empty!

Sporting a “Who ya gonna call?” pose is Tory Bellici.

The Mythbusters weren’t the only part of the con. There were Star Wars Armorers as well as many other fans who got their pictures taken with us, but unfortunately I didn’t get a copy.
Many of those received my business card and are hopefully reading this now. If that is true, WELCOME! Have a seat, take your shoes off, take a look at our About section then head on over to this thread and post your pics and comments!
This goes double for the Mythbusters, we’d love to hear from you!
As for the myth that GENCON is a awesome time:
